Vision is the most important asset in our life. I founded eyesight.sg to advocate primary eye care to optimise vision and eradicate preventable blindness.
Myopia is a disease, and people deserve to know this and take preventive measures to control the progression. In my practice, I focus on driving impactful solutions by helping my patients live healthier lives and making informed decisions through education and differentiated experiences.
I am the President of the Singapore Optometric Association and sit on the advisory panel for the Clinical Optometry Practice, under Ministry of Health, and National Myopia Prevention Programme, Health Promotion Board.
Nurul Sofea is an Optometry graduate from Singapore Polytechnic and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with Aston University. She believes that optometrists are highly responsible to counter the insidious consequences of myopia progression, which is one of the biggest contributors to sight-threatening diseases in the long run including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment, and myopic maculopathy. She aims to close the gap between public awareness and the fact that Singapore is the myopia capital of the world.
Clinical optometry is the way to go to raise awareness of the importance of comprehensive eye examinations, where many sight threatening diseases could be detected early and referred for treatment.

Alex Kong is a senior optician with years of experience in his field. Alex hopes to give his customers the best possible experience and service throughout the consultation. When he suspects any diseases, he refers them to his colleague optometrists to further evaluate his patient's eye health where necessary. In doing so, he hopes that the patients will leave the practice knowing that they are in good hands. With a broad knowledge of the eyewear available in the market, he advises every patient with the most suitable product to meet their needs.
